EMDR
Therapy

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. While it originally involved eye movements, it has evolved to include various types of bilateral stimulation, such as tapping, sound, and art. Despite the name, the focus is less on talking and more on processing emotions and experiences.

EMDR is an evidence-based therapy but may not be suitable for everyone. I typically use it alongside other therapy methods when it makes sense. I am fully trained in EMDR and am currently working toward certification. If you’re interested in learning more about EMDR, I recommend visiting the EMDRIA website and checking out their information page.
